I learned self-acceptance.

Jim, Age 37

How Treatment Works

Step One

Your Clinical Therapist will work with you to learn about your situation, your past, and how this is affecting your everyday life and your life goals and tailor the treatment plan to your specific needs. *Certain diagnoses for teens require parent empowerment training, and children and pre-teens require parent empowerment training ages 5-13.

The Self Help Workbook

You will be provided sections of a self-help workbook of modules that you will use as you proceed through treatment.  This workbook helps to review and learn, serves as a reference, as well as a place to do self-help assignments as you move along with treatment.

Sessions

Sessions are weekly.  Each session is dedicated to helping you develop your skills.  You can share your situations and express your emotions as needed, but your provider will help you to begin to help you move forward.  Talking about your situations and daily life activities are important to discuss and share, but we want to focus on how you can start to feel better. You will be provided new tools or guidance to help you adjust in accordance to the evidence-based skills provided in the session and in the workbook.

Groups

Groups are offered from time to time as an addition to the treatment plan. A person can not join a group that is not been seen by a NE-CBT provider or outside of the center. A person who has been in treatment with us is welcome to join any group at any time.

Treatment Scoring

You are going. to be provided quick scoring to help evaluate your levels of anxiety and depression, as well as your rational thinking. As you progress, your levels should show a decline in scoring and an improvement in your rational thinking. This allows the provider to determine your progress and to better understand when you are ready for graduation.

Videos

We use videos from time to time , that are on our  Youtube channel.  Dr. Cordier teaches and teaching certain elements of the program. This often helps to provide reinforcement of the skills your are learning.

FAQ

How long is the treatment?

Treatment is as long as it takes to get you to feeling better.  We don't have a set number of sessions. We are here to help you feel better and feel more in control of life and the time it takes is up to each person we work with and their specific needs.

Are the sessions weekly?

Yes, we only offer weekly sessions.

What if my symptoms return?

Life events do happen and can sometimes bring us back. We offer tune-up sessions that help people get back on track or help process a life event or situation that may feel overwhelming.  Understanding and having the skills helps to get people back on track and feeling better.

Do I have to follow the treatment plan?

Yes, in order to be treated at the practice you follow the treatment plan or be removed from the program.  Our treatment plans are built around each individual for optimal outcomes.

If I start the program can I quit at any time?

Yes, you are not under any obligation to stay with the program. However, you must notify the office that you have discontinued treatment to avoid any late cancellation or no-call no-show fees. We offer pay-as-you-go, versus a lump sum prepayment for sessions. You are billed individually for each session (plus the monthly program fee).
