Our Journey

Why We Dedicated Our Lives to Mental Health

Since 2005, we have committed our professional lives to mental health care. What began as a career quickly became something much deeper for us.

We believe people deserve clarity in their own minds. When someone is constantly anxious, angry, or overwhelmed, it affects every relationship around them — marriages, parenting, friendships, even work. We have seen firsthand how untreated mental health struggles can quietly shape entire families for generations.

However,  we have also seen what happens when someone learns the right tools. It's a ripple effect,  communication improves, reactivity decreases,  confidence grows, and families begin to heal and change.

Our Changes

Our practice began in 2005 as New England Behavioral Health. As our clinical vision sharpened and our model evolved, we became New England Center for CBT, focusing more intentionally on structured, skills-based treatment.

Today, we are American CBT Treatment and Training.

Each name change represents growth — a deeper clarity of mission, stronger clinical foundations, and a broader vision for moving mental health forward across the world.

Our Philosophy

We believe that every person has:

                    • A unique story
                   • A unique purpose
                   • The capacity for growth and change

Our work is built on the conviction that mental health care should be practical, empowering, and transformative.

Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the development of Neuroemotive CBT, we focus on helping individuals:

                   • Understand themselves better
                   • Develop concrete tools for regulation
                   • Strengthen communication
                   • Build resilience
                   • Gain clarity

We are committed to helping people find their light — and shine in the world around them.

Moving Mental Health Forward

 Mental health impacts generations.

When one person learns to regulate anxiety, communicate calmly, or break destructive patterns, the  effects ripple and extend into marriages, friendships, workplaces, and children’s lives.

That is why we love to do this work.
