Find answers to common questions about anxiety treatment, scheduling, insurance, and what to expect.
The free 15-minute consultation is a brief conversation to discuss your concerns, answer questions, and determine whether our structured CBT approach is a good fit. There is no obligation to begin therapy.
We accept Anthem, Cigna, and Connecticut Medicaid. We do not currently accept Medicare or Medicare/Medicaid plans.
For clients using out-of-network benefits or choosing self-pay, the session fee is $150 per session.
In addition to insurance or session fees, a $35 monthly program fee applies for most clients. This fee supports structured treatment planning, skill-building resources, and ongoing program development. The program fee does not apply to Medicaid clients and may be adjusted in cases of financial hardship.
We are happy to review your insurance coverage and answer financial questions during your free 15-minute consultation.
We do not directly process out-of-network insurance claims. However, we provide a detailed monthly statement (superbill) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
We recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm whether you have out-of-network benefits and to understand their reimbursement process.
The initial clinical evaluation is $175. Subsequent sessions are $150 per session.
Sliding scale options may be available based on financial need.

The length of treatment depends on your goals and symptom severity. Many clients begin noticing progress within the first several sessions as they apply structured CBT skills consistently.
Our treatment integrates traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Neuroemotive CBT, focusing on both thought patterns and emotional responses. Sessions are structured, goal-oriented, and centered on practical tools that create lasting change.
Many clients come to us after previous therapy experiences. Our structured, skills-based approach focuses on measurable progress and practical tools that can be applied immediately in daily life.
The first step is scheduling a free 15-minute consultation. We’ll briefly discuss your concerns and determine whether our approach is a good fit.
Our approach is structured and skills-based, guided by a clear framework that builds progressively over time. At the same time, therapy is highly personalized and grounded in the therapeutic relationship. We explore how anxiety and depression impact your interpersonal patterns, communication, and relationships, helping you build healthier, more effective connections.
Neuroemotive CBT is a clinical model developed by Dr. Thomas Cordier that builds upon traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. While grounded in established CBT principles, it places greater emphasis on emotional processing, nervous system responses, and both intrapersonal and interpersonal patterns.
This approach recognizes that anxiety and depression are not driven by thoughts alone. They are shaped by how we relate to ourselves, how we regulate emotions, and how we connect with others. Neuroemotive CBT integrates cognitive restructuring, emotional awareness, behavioral change, and relational insight to support lasting, whole-person growth.
Central to this model is the therapeutic relationship, recognizing that meaningful change occurs within safe, collaborative, and authentic connection.
Sessions are held weekly at a consistent day and time and typically last 45–55 minutes. This structure supports steady progress and skill development.
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.
Biweekly or monthly sessions are generally reserved for clients who have completed the structured program, are attending a group, or are in a maintenance phase of treatment.
In certain cases — such as when treating OCD using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) — additional sessions may be recommended temporarily to support effective progress.
Treatment recommendations are discussed following a clinical assessment.
Our practice specializes in outpatient treatment for anxiety and depression in adults. Individuals requiring a higher level of care — such as intensive outpatient programs, inpatient treatment, or complex psychiatric monitoring — may be better served in settings equipped to provide more comprehensive support.
If we determine that your needs would be best addressed elsewhere, we will provide appropriate referrals to ensure you receive the level of care you deserve.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the most well-researched and effective treatments for anxiety and depression. If you struggle with persistent overthinking, worry, panic, low mood, avoidance, or harsh self-criticism, structured CBT can help you develop practical tools to change these patterns.
CBT is especially effective for individuals who want a clear framework, measurable progress, and skills they can apply outside of sessions.
During your consultation and initial assessment, we determine whether this approach is the right fit for your needs.
It’s completely normal to feel uncertain. The free 15-minute consultation is simply a conversation to explore whether therapy feels like the right next step. There is no pressure or obligation to begin.
Yes. All sessions are confidential and conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Information is only shared when required by law or with your written consent.
The initial session focuses on understanding your concerns, reviewing relevant history, and identifying treatment goals. We discuss how the structured CBT approach works and begin outlining a plan tailored to your needs.
We do not prescribe medication. If medication evaluation is appropriate, we can provide referrals to qualified medical providers.
You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis to begin therapy. During the initial assessment, we evaluate your concerns and determine an appropriate diagnosis if insurance billing requires it. Treatment focuses on your current symptoms, goals, and patterns — not simply a diagnostic label.
