American Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Treatment & Training
We partner with parents to provide more optimal outcomes for children in our program: Parent training (4 sessions), individual, & group sessions
"I learned how to step back and adjust my parenting in order to help my child. Understanding the parenting methods made all the difference in our home!"
We will teach you a clear parenting plan to best help your child and family thrive. Having a discipline plan for your child, helps to improve your child's emotional health.
We will teach you evidence-based discipline skills to use with your child to help change their behaviors and develop confidence.
Once you learn how to use CBT you will be able to implement in your own life and within your household.
We will teach you how to challenge negative thinking, without feeling like you are walking on eggshells.
children will learn how to manage more difficult situations and develop confidence by learning better self control.
When you can learn that the issues surrounding your child, is not about a child as a person, but rather the behaviors.
"I had both of my children in the program. They were both struggling with anxiety, because I have anxiety. I learned how to better manage my own while learning how to help my kids. The program was remarkable!"
I feel that I improved my feelings (getting angry, etc.) by dealing with what was making me upset. I learned that I'm more intelligent than I thought I was. I improved my alertness by really listening to people. "I learned that I am capable of learning more things than I thought I knew!"I improved my behavior, all of it.
ACBT and all of its staff members have treated us like family from the start. Their focus on education, for the parents as well as the patent, has made the entire experience more comfortable. We now feel like we have the tools to deal with whatever issues may arise in the future. Thank you!

We were walking on eggshells and didn't know how to manage the behaviors. My son was completely out of control, fighting with his siblings, causing problems in school and causing havoc in the house. We didn't know what to do. We tried other therapy, but I could not get him to go. This program was a life saver!!
I recommend this program to all of my friends This program changed our lives. We feel like our family is now going in the right direction. Dr. Cordier is so authentic, he really understands what we were going through.
I think that I will be great. I learned how easy it is to make friends. I also learned that just because we think it, it doesn't mean it is true. The FFGs are so easy to learn and they help me from making bad choices. I'll miss working with my coach, she was awesome.
I hated school. I was so bored and my days seemed so long. I was really stressed and overwhelmed and had stomachaches and headaches. I have learned to appreciate school and I'm proud of the As that I'm now earning. I don't get the headaches anymore and rarely get stomachs first thing in the morning. I loved working with Jenn, she really helped me by teaching me how to think better.
Parenting doesn’t come with a manual—but it can come with support. Our 8-week Parent Empowerment Training (PET) course helps parents and caregivers build emotional stability, stronger communication, and consistent behavior strategies. Grounded in neuroscience and psychology, PET equips families to thrive together—even when facing ADHD, anxiety, or behavioral challenges.
From managing meltdowns to navigating school stress, PET provides practical tools you can use immediately. Learn how to stay calm under pressure, guide your child’s development, and reduce conflict at home. Our strategies are simple, flexible, and proven to work—even for busy families juggling multiple roles.
PET fosters shared language, structure, and consistency—especially helpful for co-parenting across separate households. Our group format helps reduce conflict and promote collaboration, making it easier to support your child together. Whether you’re parenting solo or in partnership, PET empowers you to communicate effectively and work as a united front.
Studies show that children make the most progress when their parents are involved. Recent research highlights improved emotional outcomes, behavior regulation, and family satisfaction when parents actively engage in treatment. PET combines these insights with decades of successful implementation to give you a program that’s both effective and evidence-based.
PET is designed to respect and adapt to your family’s unique culture, values, and routines. Whether you're blending families, co-parenting, or dealing with neurodivergent needs, the program meets you where you are. PET also integrates easily with other therapies like NE-CBT, play therapy, EMDR, or ART.
If you’re ready to build stronger connections and reduce parenting stress, our next PET session is enrolling now. This isn’t just a class—it’s a chance to reframe your family dynamic, create emotional safety, and foster lasting growth for both you and your child. Reserve your spot today.
